  - This tutorial shows how to create beveled and embosed button with gradient transparency in the middle.

 

       

 

- Create White Ellipse:

  - File – New – Mode: RGB Color – Width: 150 pixels – Height: 60 pixels – Content: Transparent

  - Set forground Color: White

  - Set background Color: Black

  - Ellipse Tool – Draw Ellipse

 

- Bevel, Emboss, Fill Transparency:

  - Layers – Layer Style – Blending Options...

  - Bevel and Embose: SELECT – Bevel and Embose – Depth:1000% – Shadow Mode Opacitiy: 100%

  - Contour: SELECT – Contour – Range: 100% – Anti-aliased: SELECT

  - Blending Options: Default – Fill Opacity: 50%

  - OK

 

- Gradient Transparency:

  - Layer – New – Layer... – OK

  - Add vector mask   – Layer thumbnail – Ellipse Tool – Draw Ellipse over ebmossed part – Hide Layer 1

  - Select – Color range... – Sample color from white Ellipse – OK

  - Layer mask thumbnail – Gradient Tool – Drag from center upword – Show Layer 1

 

- Text:

  - Set forground color: Red – Horizontal Type Tool – Army – 24 pt – Type: JAVA

  - Layers – Layer Style – Blending Options... – Inner Shadow: SELECT – OK

  - Rectangular Marquee Tool: Select All

  - Layer – Align to selection – Vertical Centers

  - Layer – Align to selection – Horizontal Centers
